Stunning election

The election is over and the results leave me stunned.
I cannot refrain from saying, "I told you so." About the war in Iraq. About Rumsfeld.
American leaders must learn we can never again invade another country to plant democracy. Saddam was evil? Yes. But he was contained. All we have succeeded in doing is opening up Iraq for every terrorist and thug who wants to go in.
We tried in a few short years to plant deomcracy among people who didn't want it. We thought we could do for them what our forefathers in this nation fought and died to do for themselves? Come on.
But the oil companies get richer and richer. At our expense.
