Hurray for 'Brush Up Brazil' program

Michele Driscoll and volunteers are to be commended for their civic-minded effort to “Brush-up Brazil”.
As one who had other plans, I confess to beeping my horn in greeting and driving by as the army worked to brighten up downtown Brazil.
We look forward to Michele’s future efforts in the future.
I remember as if it were yesterday when Michele told me of her plans to work for the City Mayor Kenny Crabb’s administration as Planning Administrator. I am glad her office has continued in Mayor Tom Arthur’s administration. Such good work has and should supercede elections, political parties and changes of administration.
We have watched -- and reported -- Michele’s efforts to clean up various properties that were overgrown with weeds and choked with garbage. Now, everyone can appreciate what she is doing for the city, for highways 40 and 59 are much more visible to many more people than individual lots in residential neighborhoods.
The City of Brazil, Michele Driscoll and her volunteers are to be commended for a job well done.
See her letter to the editor for more information. Perhaps more of us can clear our schedule to help out on at least one of the Brush-up Brazil days in the future.
